We are located in the old Moe Court House at No 2 High Street, Moe, 3825. The Society is dedicated to the collection, recording and celebration of the history of Moe / Newborough and district. The district includes Coalville, Narracan, Hill End, Tanjil South. Willow Grove and Westbury. As we started in 1963, the society also collected items for Coopers Creek, Erica, Moondarra, Walhalla and Yallourn but less so in recent years as other local organisations took up this task.
Collections – Visitors can search over 9000 photographs, 2250 articles on paper and approximately 650 objects in our museum collection.
Paper based Collection – Our paper based information includes printed materials, documents, ephemera, newspapers, maps and illustrations

Photo Collection – The collection includes past views of Moe / Newborough & District places and people.
“Coach News” – The Society publishes a quarterly newsletter made up of history articles on Moe/Newborough and the district. There are now over 200 editions.
About Us
Moe is located in the Latrobe Valley in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. It has an aboriginal history dating back thousands of years and a European history dating back to the 1840s.
